Make a Plan to Vote
Review the voting information and then make a plan to vote. Add it to your calendar. If you need help in getting to the polls, please contact us.
Saturday, April 18:
Last day to register to vote
You can register online, by mailing in a voter registration form, or in-person at the Clerk’s office during regular Town Hall Office Hours (8 am – 4 pm on weekdays, except 8 am – 6 pm on Tuesdays, and 8 am – noon on Fridays).
Thursday, April 23:
Last day to request a mail-in ballot
(earlier is better)
Per Massachusetts law, if you want a mail-in ballot, you must update your request every year. You can apply online, or print out and mail in an application. Vote-by-mail applications and information are available on the Secretary of State’s voting information website.
You can either mail your ballot in (but allow at least a week) or drop your ballot at the ballot box in front of Town Hall.
Note: For the town election, make sure you request your vote-by-mail ballot at least two weeks ahead of the election.
Tuesday, April 28:
Election Day!
If you don’t have a mail-in ballot (or chose not to use it), be sure to vote between 7 am – 8 pm at RJ Grey Junior High School Gymnasium, 16 Charter Road.
Tuesday, April 28, 8 pm:
Deadline for the arrival of your mail-in ballots
If you plan to mail your ballot in, give it at least a week to reach Acton voting officials. However, it’s more reliable to drop off your signed and sealed ballot off at one of the Acton drop-off boxes in front of Town Hall.
