Peter Berry

I support Pam Nourse for election to the Select Board.  Pam has the skill set needed to lead Acton during unsettled financial and social times. Pam’s most impressive skill is her ability to work collaboratively, building a team to implement Acton’s priorities.  Pam’s knowledge of Town finances, acquired through her work on the Minuteman School Committee and building the new Minuteman school, will serve Acton well. She acquired knowledge and experience through her work on housing, sustainability, economic development, finance and environmental/conservation issues.  Pam’s range of experience will contribute positively to the Select Board’s decision making.

Acton will be well served by Pam’s leadership and thoughtful, deliberative contributions on the Select Board. I will cast my vote for Pam and  I urge you to vote for Pam as well.

Peter Berry is on the Acton Housing Authority Board, and the Community Preservation Committee. He has served on the Acton Board of Selectmen, the Acton Community Housing Corporation, the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Conservation Commission and the School Building Committee for the Boardwalk School

Lauren Morton

Pam Nourse has my whole-hearted endorsement for Select Board.  She is a collaborator who has spent her career bringing people together to find the best solutions for difficult problems.  She is an effective communicator and advocate for the people she represents.  She works very hard to do the research, to reach out to people, and to present information in a way that encourages dialogue and welcomes questions.   Pam is very aware of the needs of Acton, as well as understanding our budgetary constraints. I feel confident that she will be a valuable addition to the Select Board.

Lauren Morton has served on the Planning Board, the Economic Development Committee, Acton Boxborough Community Compass, Communities for Restorative Justice (C4RJ), and the Acton Select Board

Greg Jarboe

I support Pam and agree with her priorities: encouraging sensible economic development to ease the tax burden on homeowners, advancing Acton’s climate goals, and maintaining fiscal stability through responsible budgeting to keep the town strong and affordable. Acton faces rising costs, infrastructure demands, and climate challenges that require thoughtful, collaborative leadership. Pam’s decades of civic engagement – including 10 years representing Acton on the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School School Committee – prepare her to help address these issues.

Greg Jarboe is a member of the Finance Committee and the Public Works Facility Building Committee. He was a member of the Select Board from 1980 to 1983.

Jim Snyder-Grant

I’ve known Pam for over 30 years and I have always been impressed by her skills in listening to differing views, reflecting back what she hears, and guiding people toward agreement. This essential skill, along with her experience in non-profit board leadership and community organizing, makes her an ideal candidate for the Acton Select Board.

Jim Snyder-Grant has served on the Acton Select Board, the Commission on Disabilities, the Land Stewardship Committee, the Acton 2020 Committee and the Community Preservation Committee

Diane Baum

It is an honor and privilege to endorse Pam Nourse in her candidacy for a seat on Acton’s Select Board. Pam has built a record of strong, collaborative leadership and advocacy representing Acton on the Minuteman School Committee for the past ten years and as Executive Director of the non-profit Federation for Children with Special Needs. In my work with Pam and watching her lead over the years, I have come to know her as a trusted, committed, accessible partner who understands the vast job of local governance and has left at least two organizations more prosperous and flourishing than when she got there. I have no doubt she will do the same for the Town of Acton.

Diane Baum served on the Acton-Boxborough School Committee, including the subcommittees on Budget, Policy and Capital Improvement; the Superintendent Search Committee; and as the liaison to the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee and Minuteman Technical High School

Amber Klauer

I have lived in Acton all my life and care dearly about the town. I believe we need strong leaders who also care. These leaders could help make Acton more affordable and welcoming to all who want to live here.

I know Pam would stand up to the task. I have known her for many years through a non-profit that we both were members of. She is a good listener and knows how to work with people who have a difference of opinion. She has a kind heart and common sense. I wholeheartedly support Pam for Acton Select Board.

For over forty years, Amber Klauer has been an active member of the Historical Society. She continues her lifelong participation in town elections and town meetings.

Janet Adachi

Pam Nourse has my vote for the Acton Select Board.  As a longtime Acton resident and parent, she has a deep understanding of and appreciation for our community, the quality of life that residents enjoy and the issues that are important to them.  Her career in the non-profit sector is a testament to the blend of compassion, thoughtful decision-making and organizational ability that she has used effectively to address people’s needs and change their lives for the better.

Pam and I share a strong belief in the mission of the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School and the opportunity for technical education and training it offers students in Acton and other member-towns.  Since 2015, Pam has been Acton’s representative on the Minuteman School Committee, and at times has served as its chairman.  In 2016, when I was a member of the Acton Board of Selectman and was the BOS’s liaison to Minuteman, I had the pleasure of working with Pam on the capital campaign for a new Minuteman school building.  The campaign involved the then-16 member-towns and entailed significant work and collaboration among member-towns.  That collective effort was successful:  the new building opened in 2019. Pam will bring a valuable perspective and skillset to the Select  Board.  Please join me in supporting her.

Janet is the Chair of the Acton Community Housing Corporation. She has served on the Conservation Commission, the Board of Selectmen, the Community Preservation Committee, and Select Board advisory committees for sewering and zoning proposals.
